Wake me up when September ends.

Now if only I could apply that to my life.

Hmm

Don't you think falling in love, especially in an unrequited way, is cruel? Just like a crescendo of the ocean waves, where it starts off as nothing more than a mere tingle at your feet which then slowly builds up into an overwhelming tsunami. It hits you and sweeps you off your feet without a moment's notice, when your guard is at it's weakest. Before you know it,you've drifted off too deep into the ocean without any means of returning to shore. And when you're out there, all you can do is struggle to stay afloat, praying very hard for some sort of salvation to end your battle.

So the only thing left to do is to hope.To hope that maybe the ocean current pulls you back to where you started. But then again, wouldn't that mean that the same thing would happen all over again?

Don't mind me,just a random post.

Save me,plsandty

yeah yeah,I know I said i'd be reviving this blog LOL.One post a month is better than nothing right?

I guess I owe an update of some sort.

Well, life has been....I don't really know how to put it.It just feels like i'm constantly in some sort of limbo, stuck in the middle of nowhere.I don't know what is what anymore.Am I gettting there? Or have I just been running on the same spot all this while?

I've pretty much lost most of my drive to live.I got nothing much to look forward to anymore, putting up the same monotonous routine every single day, regretting and hating myself for the same thing over and over again. I just wish something could happen right now...something that could remind me again what it means to live.Right now,I feel like i'm living not because I want to,but because I have to -.-. Seriously,i'm no better than a dead corpse right now.

I don't even know what i'm saying anymore lol.

Someone save me.

CPR

Wake up dammit!

Pounding his chest and giving him a few more breaths, they were holding on to a faint hope that he would open his eyes.

We've been through so much together,so many things left unsaid,DON'T DIE ON ME!

Just then,as if God heard the plea, his eyes slowly fluttered.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So,uhh yeah.This blog is officially revived(I think).

Driving down the open road as we hum a little melody

Drove a car for the first time ever today! It was fun haha.I mati enjin'ed at last 10 times though -.- That wasn't fun.Stupid clutch haha.I never knew driving could be so tiring, guess I should appreciate the people who fetch me more :P Can't wait to finally get my P! Just one more month!

Lesson of the day is:

NIKE'S WERE NOT MEANT FOR DRIVING MANUAL CARS.

As we march down this parade

Yeah,i'm 14 days late...so what? :P

Hmm,so it's 2009 already eh?

Honestly speaking,2008 has been pretty much a blur to me.I guess all that studying for SPM must've fried my brain.Even now,I'm still painstakingly trying to erase all the rubbish I've been taught throughout the 5 years of my high school life.Mitochondria!HCl!Newton's Third Law of Motion! Okay,i'll stop being a geek now.

I guess I'll remember 2008 as the year I stepped out from the confines of the same scenery I've been stuck with for the past approximately 1825 days of my life.I wouldn't say it is a joyous occasion, yet it leaves me with this weird feeling. The feeling of not waking up at 6 am,not standing on the fields every Monday morning with half-open eyes while singing our national anthem, not seeing the same old teachers that we're so familiar with, and of course not being with the people we used to always hang out with.It just feels..weird.

It's funny how I once wished that I could gradute from high school asap, but now that it's happened, how I'd give anything to bring it back.Ironic eh?But that's just life doing it's job.

If I were to compare going through high school life to something,I'd compare it to a seedling. We all started out as helpless, vulnerable,naïve(well, most us anyway) prone to the many obscurities of life. With a lil bit of sunshine and water(our family and teachers I guess),we start to sprout. The growth of our stem (No kids, this is not a bio experiment) signifying our appetite to reach for something higher,a goal for something big while our roots symbolize our effort in trying to anchor ourselves into these unfamiliar grounds, finding a place where we belong.

Spring comes along, and more seedlings start to sprout. You can see all sorts of seeds.Apples, durians, papayas, you name it.Each with its own unique distinctiveness. These seedlings start to help one another in getting through this whole cycle.

Then we start growing and growing, maturing as time goes by.

Leaves start to grow, flowers bloom and our effort bear fruits.

In the end, after braving countless harsh winters, enduring merciless disasters,we come out stronger than ever, ready to take on the world.

Ok,this post has been put off for wayyyyy too long,so I finished it off in a rush.Sorry if it doesn't make any sense hahaha.

So yeah, another year, another chapter closes.I'm not really excited about 2009,but oh well,we'll see what happens.I hope 09 will treat me nicely and bring a better year filled with boisterous moments and unforgettable memories =)

Goodbye high school, you shall be missed.

Feel hot this festive season!

Feeling bland this festive season?Need something to spice up your wardrobe?Want guys to drool over you?

Look no further then!

http://simpli-cious.blogspot.com/

This fashion heaven is guaranteed to spoil you with choices.

Feeling flirtatious?Want something exotic?Or just seeking something casual?Don't worry,it's all there!

Just click on it,you know you want to!No harm browsing through.Just think of it as window shopping xD.

(Erm,it's basically an online boutique ran by my cousin. So if you're interested, just tell me and I might be able to get you a discount or something.I can get the stock directly from her,so yeah. She's currently in Hong Kong and will be back on the 27th.

So ladies,no need for you to shop till your feet ache when you can have the shopping done right from the comfort of your own home! And sorry men, nothing for us there.Guess we'll have to do our shopping the old fashioned way :( )

Wow,2 posts in a day,that's a new record.

It's that time of the year again.

Hear the bells ring, the sled dashing through the snow.Yep,it's that time of the year again. The time where miracles are supposed to happen, when we put aside our busy schedules to once again appreciate the littler things in life. The happy glee on the children's faces as they carefully rip their presents open, the warm embrace of loved ones,a cozy dinner with the family.Christmas huh?

Last year I wrote I wasn't really sure what Christmas really was about for me.This year is no different I guess.Maybe next year.Hmm,who knows.I have this nagging feeling that next year might be different.

Cheers.

oh and

JOY TO THE WORLDDD.

Genting really is a city of entertainment.

Came back from Genting yesterday and all I can say is...it was one hell of a trip!It was probably one of the best trips I've had in a while. The atmosphere was awesome, the weather was awesome(althought I was freezing 80% of the time),the rides were awesome and most importantly, the company was AWESOME.

I can still remember it so clearly, starting with the weird albeit cute clown that Mun Suet seemed to take a liking to,shouting in the cable car and waving to the ones that pass by,jumping on Jason's back, being spun around and round and round while singing I Believe I Can Fly,the thrilling sensation of being turned around 180 degrees at God knows how many km/h while screaming at the top of our lungs, swinging back and forth as the momentum builds up and as we roar, riding up a 45 degree slope and then splashing into waters which were contaminated with who knows what, spending 20 bucks trying to win something but to no avail -.- (mark my words,I will win something next time! Oh,and I hate Eric for winning Shemale on his first try -.-), the feeling of your heart being thrown out of it's rightful place while watching the night scenery(imagine seeing KL from Genting, haha. At least,I think it was KL.Penguin said it is!),running in a wannabe F1 race with the freezing winds in our face, being rejected to sit on a ride because I was too heavy (go ahead and laugh!that ride is weightist -.-),playing pepsi cola infront of the theme park entrance with everyone watching us (I was the first to be kicked out, haha),eating overpriced food which these people should be sued for, sitting in a circle on the ground just outside Starbucks while celebrating fhan tong's (chong sheng) birthday, watching the hilarious gay moments (seriously,it was damn gay, haha.Nobody can pull it off better than fhan thong and his gay partner Jason),trying to do my business in the toilet while people start entering and invading my privacy xD.And not forgetting the camwhoring sessions in pretty much any place you can think of.

I think that's pretty much it.It was so much fun haha. For the whole day,I felt like my worries were washed away for the mean time.I forgot all about yesterday and tomorrow, and just had fun.It was like a temporary escape from reality, and that's what everyone needs once in a while as the burden life brings can be rather overwhelming at times.

Thanks to everyone that made it happen, haha.

You can read a more detailed story about the trip on Eric's blog.

For now,i'm just gonna reminisce a little longer before rushing back into reality.

Nostalgia

Well,it's been a while +cough3monthscough+ since I've put up a proper post. You can probably guess the reasons.SPM,procrastination,laziness,etc.Mostly due to laziness.Without further ado,i'll just update a little bit about what's been going on.

29th November - 4th December

LLC (LEO Leadership Camp 2008)

Yeah,it's the camp that I was supposed to blog about but failed to last year. It's the camp that I miss so much even till this day.It was a camp that brought me great memories that will probably linger in my mind forever. It's that awesome of a camp. And this year was no exception. It was a different experience, being part of the committee. The responsibility you bear is much greater, what with the lives of 46 people in your hands. And of course not forgetting the maximum of 4 hours sleep we get every night.Still,it was worth it.

The experience was...nostalgic,to say the least. When I stepped onto the grounds of Kem Bina Semangat,a plethora of familiar memories rushed into my mind.It felt weird being back there, seeing everything just the way it was.Well, almost everything.

The people were different this time.Different participants, different committees, different facilitators. But I guess that's what makes going to LLC again that much more exciting.

At first,I went as someone with no particular goal in mind. You know, just helping out and having fun.But then, slowly,I started to realise something.I think I was actually there to help the participants have a wonderful time just like I did last year.

When I saw them having fun,saw them working hard together,it gave me an undescribable feeling.A really perplexing yet nice feeling.

LLC isn't just about learning leadership skills imo. It's a place where you get to discover new things.Wether it is about yourself, the people around you or the way life works sometimes.

Even as a second-timer,I learned new things.I believe it's a different experience each time, and new lessons are taught. For example,I learned that it's okay to do your business in the jungle (haha, sorry jack) and it's actually possible to see shooting stars in Malaysia.LLC is like a teacher with a vast amount of knowledge to impart to each and every one of us.

That's about all I'm writing about LLC.All in all,it was (sorry Lion Clayton,my vocab really is bad) awesome and I wouldn't mind going again next year.

Oh,yeah, and I also learned that my skin actually has the potential to turn as dark as an Indian's.(no offense)

Next up is LEO Christmas Charity Bazaar. It's pretty much a bazaar where we sell miscellaneous stuff to fund some orphanages. Our barang-barang include stuffed toys, stationaries,WWF stuff, etc. So for whoever that reads this,if you've got the time, just drop by and maybe do a good deed this christmas. You don't have to buy things from our store. You can even donate things to the orphans. We have a christmas tree chock full (well, not anymore) of names of the orphans. You can choose one of the names from the tree and donate something to him/her.Donations of cash are also accepted.

Before you start asking,"Why should I help them?I've got better things to spend my money on,like christmas gifits",think about the orphans who don't have anyone to spend christmas with them!Think about how priviledged we are to be able to sing Christmas carols without a care in the world and exchange gifts with our relatives.Wouldn't you want to spread that priviledge? Then again,it's up to you, nobody is forcing you.Or are we? >)

LEO Christmas Charity Bazaar

Venue:Subang Parade,in front of Uncle Lim's (you can go shopping afterwards!)

Date:12th,13th and 14th of December 2008

Time:10 am-10 pm

Be there,or be square.(because i'll be stuffing a spongebob doll down your throat)

Okay,time to go...think.

I don't know.

I just don't really know anymore.Everything feels like a blank in my mind right now, like a black hole just went through it.It's that feeling where like your heart feels like it's being crushed by a ton of bricks.I detest this unsettling, insecure feeling.

Bleh, this blog has been dead for 3 months and the first thing I post is some retarded complaint.I'll post a proper post next time, for whoever that still reads my blog LOL.

Moments in the sun

Back from LOC at last, haha. It unexpectedly turned out to be fun.I thought it was gonna be filled with boring lectures and talks, but I was totally wrong. It was pretty awesome what with moments of throwing huge pails of water at the participants (for once it wasn't me getting splashed LOL),sleeping under the stars, random basketball sessions and of course, not forgetting our utter failure with Code 0500 (aka Operasi Burung Hantu) LOL.I know you all hate us for waking you all up at 5 a.m. with our fake as hell acting xD.I only got like 30 minutes of sleep that night, but it was worth it,seeing everyone's blur faces in the morning, haha.

I'm still experiencing that lingering feeling that happens after every kickass camp I go to.It isn't as strong as it was after LLC though. After LOC,i'm really really looking forward to LLC 2008.But before that,i'm gonna have to face reality in the butt, aka SPM.Trials start next week and i'm scared as hell >/.Will post more about LOC once I get the pictures I guess. And i'll show a picture that probably shouldn't be seen by any of the participants LOL.

Well,back to the books.

Of ramblings and ventings.

Tick tock.
Time seems to be slipping so easily out of my hands, and I can't seem to stop it from doing so.It's just speeding by so fast, that I barely notice it passing me by.I think i'm being a little paranoid by saying this, but time seems to passing faster and faster every year.I wonder if I'm the only one feeling this, hmm.Maybe time actually has an acceleration, going faster and faster each year! (Okay,i've been doing too much physics.)

Trials in about a month, give or take. Then comes the big boss in another 2 months.I don't seem to be in my panic mode yet >/.Someone help meeee.

And now for some quotes to glorify the oh so wonderful thing we call time.

“You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future”

“Don’t count every hour in the day, make every hour in the day count.”

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs (Apple co-founder)

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.” - Albert Einstein

“Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't
own it, but you can use it. You can't keep
it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it
you can never get it back.” -HarveyMcKay

"But what minutes! Count them by sensation, and not by calendars, and each moment is a day." ~Benjamin Disraeli

Meaningful,no?

I feel like we're missing out on so much in this world, given the little time we have.I WANT MORE TIME,GIMME MORE TIME.

Sigh, guess i'll just have to be content with what I have right now.I can't wait till this whole overexaggerated SPM hype is over.I can almost smell the scent of me stripping naked and running through the streets once it's over.Okay,I won't do that,LOL.Too many innocent people will go blind.

On another note,

I'm sure most of you have heard the news about how Lin Miaoke (girl on the left) was lip-synching 'Ode to the Motherland' during the Olympics opening ceremony. And the reason the original singer,Yang Peiyi(girl on the right),wasn't onstage? No,it wasn't because she came down with a fever or had a last minute stomach ache.It was because she wasn't pretty enough.I was like, wtf, when I saw that.Like seriously, what kind of bullshit is this? And they even glorified Lin Miaoke to such an extent.

Discrimination like this pisses me off the most.Didn't they ever think about how Yang Peiyi felt? She must've been devastated when she was told that.Poor girl.I hope she doesn't grow up traumatized or something. And she's only 7 years old!Damned people these days, won't even go easy on a little girl's feelings.

This is like an insult to everyone watching the Olympics. The Olympics is supposed to be a sacred event, and things like this just tarnishes whatever grandeur it has.

The child on camera had to be flawless in looks, in her feelings and in her expression," he said.

Flawless? What the hell?Flawless is such an overrated word. There is no way to define perfection.Anything can be made to look perfect,if not almost. To me,portraying the truth is much more closer to perfection than giving us some fake. And all of this for their "national interest"?This is just another proof that the human mind is full of nothing but self-centered thoughts (no offense).

I have nothing against Lin Miaoke though, she looks like a sweet girl, and probably didn't really know what was going on.

This isn't the only time these kind of things happened.People get discriminated everyday for the way they look to the point that it's just sickening.I think everyone looks perfect in their own way.

What happened to the good ol' virtue of 'It's what's inside that counts'?

We need to start practicing what we preach.

Leo Installation SMKTS 2008

I'll just let the pictures and videos do the talking.Excuse the crappy quality and my poor camera skills xD

Thomas and Michael and The Revelations,or something like that

Hui Ying singing 'Collide' by Howie Day.She has an amazing voice, seriously.

Chien Lung,Kian Min and Chong Sheng xD.

Old Bod's performing 'Here in My Home' by Malaysian Artistes' for Unity.Aren't they just adorable?

Overall,it was a pretty awesome install.Thumbs up to the organizing committee.I have officially stepped down from the Leo Club of SMKTS,sigh.I had some of the greatest times of my life in the club.Guess it's time to let go.

Thanks for the memories.

Take another gander.

Time to revive this dead blog.I didn't write this small anecdote, mind you.

One day, a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered, "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden, and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden, and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard, and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on, and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are."

I thought it was a kinda cool story.Shows how superficial some people's thinking can be.In this case, the father.Sometimes we just need to see a little more than what's on the surface.Don't just go and assume that something so ugly or repulsive,is equally as disgusting inside. We need to look at things from different angles, maybe peering from the top,or perhaps from the base?Though,we can be so stubborn sometimes that we refuse to tilt our heads even for a second. That's when you need someone to crack that damned neck of yours,to bring you back to reality.

I'm starting to think that the poorer people are really the ones that are enjoying what life is about.Sure, they may not enjoy all the luxuries of life like we do,but at least they know how to appreciate whatever it is they have or get.Don't take things for granted, seriously.

I feel a little hypocritical by typing all this, haha.

Life can be a bitch at times, sure, but every other second when it isn't,it just seems so beautiful that it alleviates all the hate and sorrow from your body, and just makes you stare at it in wonder.

An explosion of words.

I hate this feeling. The feeling you get when there's like a million things you want to say,but you just don't know where to start. If only all these words could be turned into pictures, life would be so much easier.

On another note,as Julius Caesar once said,

"Vēnī, vīdī, vīcī,"

We came,we saw,we conquered.

The battle is over, and we stride out with our heads up high,as we triumphed over the rest.

PBSM(the team i'm in) came out as the winners of the marching competition for the unit beruniform division >).I'm so proud of you guys.We were one of the underdogs, but we showed em huh?Congrats guys, you all deserved it.We gave it our all during that last performance, and man did it rock.

To the other teams,I take my hat off to you guys. You all did an awesome job, haha. The competition was a really close call this year though. It was impossible to predict who would come out as the champion. But in the end,we all emerged winners anyway. To me,winning isn't the most important thing. It's about giving it your all and learning something in the process.Getting 1st place is just like...an added bonus, something like getting 2 pay cheques in a month.nottomentionthesyokfeelingyouget

We all started out as strangers, but as the weeks passed by,we all got closer to each other through the sweat and tears we shed, after marching for hours on end in the condemned hot-as-hell sun and even in the rain. And not to mention sacrificing our skin, turning into chocolates, haha. The camaderie that was formed. That is one of the things I love about marching. It's a feeling you wouldn't understand unless you tried it for yourself. It's a feeling you'll never regret having, seriously.

And the main thing I love about marching is probably when we take the stage, haha. The feeling you get as everyone watches you, sweat trickling down your forehead,as you try your hardest not to screw up the formation, during that time which you'll be giving every ounce of spirit you have in you. It's an undescribable feeling, but you feel it when you know that you've definitely given everything you've got. It's a damn syok feeling haha >)

Lastly, thank you to everyone for doing your best.I'm gonna miss you guys haha.anddefinitelynotthepractices

Sigh, that's the end of another amazing thing to hit my life. The other being retiring from the school's Leo Club,=(. Why must things come to an end in life? Why must life be so cruel?I had some of the greatest times of my life in Leo.Especially during LLC 2007,haha. whichistillhavenotpostedareviewaboutandiprobablyneverwill

Congratulations to the new B.O.D's.I know you guys can take the club to the next level >).And kudos to the previous B.O.D's for everything you've done for the club.

With every end, comes a new beginning.

Didn't bring camera for sports day so no pictures >/.Hopefully,I can get my hands on some.
